Any news on who’s standing out at the first week of Spring Practices or just more drama?

Lynch looks good at QB. Turner and Wolfe are killing it as a running back duo. Diem is a beast on the O line.
Coach Novak has a good roster this year.

Outside of general articles on NIU site ( and maybe randy6969)we won't hear much as most practices are closed this year including media.
I believe next Saturday 4/7 is the first Open Practice.

I have a crazy trick play..... throw a pass longer than 10 yards. Or better yet, longer than 10 yards over the middle.

I always thought Division III should play in the spring. ESPN would give them a TV deal and we'd have football in the spring and they'd make some money and get their kids some recognition.

The USFL might still be around if they stuck to spring football instead of changing in year 3 to go head to head with the NFL in the fall. Respect the the Blitz uniform

They look like they’re having a blast out there. Dennis Robinson looks like he hit the weight room during his redshirt year. Gotta love a 6”5 Wide Receiver. Can’t wait to see him play.

Noticed that they only showed Graham dropping back and not throwing,
I really don’t think he’s healthy and won’t be be part of the mix come fall.
Just a hunch. Hope I’m wrong, as we need as many healthy guys as possible.

Oh yeah because running a fake punt on your own 11 yard line in the first quarter screams conservative! He just doesn’t know when to run the trick play.

NIU - land of the bubble screen (that's thrown too low), jet sweep (that the opposition knows is coming), and the run up the middle (for 2 or 3 hard-fought yards). And a few bonehead plays. Rod Carey football.

Do we know if Graham had any off season surgery? Carey indicated in the preseason press conference that he still is limited on his throwing motion.
