FB OOC Schedules? - Boca Rocket - 03-30-2018 01:00 PM

Got a number of openings after the next couple of seasons. Hope we stop seeing FCS programs in the GB and get a P5 or two @home on the future schedules. The BYU's, Colorado State's, and San Diego State's are fine.

As a Cincinnati fan first (but a Toledo fan as well), I would love to see a more robust series between the two. That could potentially turn into a fun little OOC rivalry if given the opportunity to grow, and I'd much rather play UT than Ohio or Miami every year.

Northwestern would be great, Illinois. How about some other west coast like Oregon or Oregon State. I’ll bet the team would like to go to Hawaii.

I'd love to play UC too. I've talked to their fans and many of them would rather play us than Miami U every year, but that's a well-established rivalry. I don't think anybody wants to fill their schedule with two MAC teams every year. I see UM cancelled their series with Va Tech for the 21 and 22 seasons. Maybe that would be a possibility?

I’d love to see Houston, USF, UCF, or SMU for a one on one. Great opponent and great locations for road trips

I'd love to see a Toledo/Cincinnati series, especially if UT chooses to play defense in those games.

Selfishly, I would love to see UT head down here in a series with UNC Charlotte (easy W in a fertile recruiting territory). If not UNCC, then App State or ECU, especially if ECU fires Scottie Montgomery and opts to start fielding competitive teams again.

I recall when ECU and NIU made lots of noise about becoming independent football powers.

A couple days after the season ended and the football team gave up 70 points (63 in the first three quarters), ECU called an emergency press conference and all my ECU friends were assuming/hoping that it was to announce Montgomery's termination. Nope, it was to announce that the basketball coach was being forced to resign. Why they fired Ruffin and replaced him with a terrible coach who destroyed all the successes of the program is beyond me. When Ruffin was there and they played a similar style as UT, the Pirates would have been a good home-and-home opponent.
