When is Rod Carey's contract up? 2018 or 2019? Just Wondering!!!

I believe it's 2019. But I was told by someone who has ties to the department that Carey's contract was extended 2 years. However, I have no evidence of this. If anyone can dig and find out, please let us know.

looks like June of 2019 the contract ends so 2018 would be his last season

and he gets a really easy non conference schedule for his last season

Carey has his moments and seems at times like a decent guy, but exited for a new NIU football era. Hope we get someone super stoked to head the program who wants to build something solid (not that Carey doesn't).

He just bought a new house in Merry Oaks, Sycamore. I think he's been told he's in the long term plan.

Yes, this is what I heard. It's the easiest thing for STF to do. I mean who wants to do the work to hire a better coach?
