Next season.

Or the year after that. And, if not then, the next year.

Yes, but they were National Champion in '62-'63. What a great team!

For those that missed the last second shot. It was a thing of beauty:

They also made the Sweet 16 in 1985. My point though is there's no hole too large. Not that long ago that Loyola was a complete afterthought in Chicago and drawing less than 2k.

RE: Loyola University-Chicago - DiehardHuskie - 03-17-2018 07:46 PM

What a game! Go Ramblers!! On to the sweet sixteen...

RE: Loyola University-Chicago - BDB5yp - 03-17-2018 11:15 PM

These guys are the “Real Deal”04-rock

RE: Loyola University-Chicago - ChicagoHuskie - 03-18-2018 03:22 PM

I happened to be in Dallas for business and went to the Loyola game last night. What a charged up crowd & I found myself so invested in rooting for the Ramblers, it actually threw me off a little bit. What a great ending. Could not help but think how cool it would be to see NIU in that environment... really a memorable experience

RE: Loyola University-Chicago - klake87 - 03-19-2018 05:17 PM

Nevada is beatable too

RE: Loyola University-Chicago - DiehardHuskie - 03-19-2018 07:41 PM

So is K State. And they should have no fear of Kentucky having already beat Florida and Tennessee this year.

RE: Loyola University-Chicago - NIU70 - 03-19-2018 10:33 PM

LUC law school grad-1973. Went to a few games while there, but always cheered for NIU when we played them. When you don't live on campus (lived at home then) it's not like you are really going to school there. When they made the Sweet 16 in '85 I wasn't too excited. This year, it's different, not sure why. But still, glad to be a Rambler this year though I hardly ever made it north of Chicago Avenue back in the day.

RE: Loyola University-Chicago - BDB5yp - 03-22-2018 05:19 PM

Tip Off against Nevada is at 6:07 Central

Loyola University-Chicago - Dog Fan - 03-22-2018 08:21 PM

The cardiac kids do it again, 69-68! On to the Elite 8!

Loyola University-Chicago - Dog Fan - 03-22-2018 08:25 PM

Loyola is 31-5. Can you imagine if we would have that record? I don't think Monty can even count that high!
