MIAMI vs KSU - mmucha1986 - 02-26-2018 08:00 PM

OK.. another home game. another game we're supposed to win. miami is good: coming-off home win vs buffalo followed by road win vs akron. no rest for the weary.

senior night.. would love to see zabo drop another 15 (20 would be better.) get him going.. back to where he was earlier in the season.

would love to see jaywalk drop 20

would love to see de la rosa have a great night & not foul out.

go flashes! 04-rock04-rock

PS still buzzing about the AWESOME defensive performnce put-on by pippen last game to go along with 11 pts. avery & pippen are my 2 faves :)

Go Flashes!

Down two at half. Akron leads Buffalo at half.

Glad they decided to play in overtime. The over turning of the 3 at the end of regulation was a big turning point in the game04-rock

They keep winning the close ones. That’s definitely the best characteristic of this team. No Duling tonight. Pippen had an excellent game along with Avery. That last second shot by Miami was clearly late in real time. I was surprised the refs counted it at first.

Near the end of regulation when it looked like Miami was on the verge of wrapping it up Kent was shooting free throws. I watched the Miami player on the block talking in Pippen's ear through both free throws. He was laughing and seemed to be really enjoying whatever he was saying. Pippen never said a thing and looked quite pissed. Game ball goes to that Miami player.

Our coach thought it was good. Only time I like reviews, when it comes out favorably for Kent.

I must have been sleeping as Duling did play 3 minutes. The bench overall only played about 25 minutes out of 225 available. We are now one game behind EMU and Ball St currently the 3rd and 4th seeds.

A Flash win and Ball State loss on Friday and we get the 4th seed

But Ball St plays NIU who looked like the worst team in the league tonight.

Duling was late on three closeouts-two for three point baskets and the other a foul on a two point basket. I believe the coach was not happy....

Did anyone notice the really weird thing that happened at the end. As De La Rosa was waiting to get the ball for his second free throw the short bald ref flipped out and started yelling at Sendy to get Walker off the court. Sendy subbed him then a couple seconds later the game was over. Walker tried to go over to the ref but he quickly left the court without acknowledging him. I honestly have no idea what set him off. Maybe he heard Walker trash talking the Miami player next to him? Even if that was the case, like I mentioned earlier Miami was doing plenty of jawing during free throws as well. Regardless, what the actual eff is that reaction? Since when can a ref just instruct a player to be taken out of the game without a tech or anything? If he said or did something bad enough for that reaction T him up. Otherwise calm down.

When an official does that, it is considered a favor by coaches. IOW, cool your player off, or there is a call coming that you will not like. Most coaches will gladly take out his player for a cool off rather than take a T. The official did a fine job and then the coach did the right thing.

Interesting. Can't say I've ever seen that happen before. Maybe it's normally just a one on one conversation with the coach instead of stopping playing and yelling?
