Survivor’s guilt - Dasville - 02-15-2018 01:15 PM

Just My Opinion but it really seems to drive a lot of behavior. From Rap and the NBA to violence in schools and social media. Seems very reactive. Seems like everyone has guilt. What is the best way to handle guilt?

Religion

IMO, it's a critical element in development from birth as we currently exist as a species.....and I stopped believing at the age of 4....and I went to church every sunday and CYO, and did the baptist retreat thingys (b/c girls)

I'm on record stating too many times how I ensured my daughter was involved in the church until she was of age to decide yea or nay.....

parental and community involvement is a major player in the equation of success as one walks forward....

Crazy how a whisper can spark conversation.

So knowing something that can cause people harm versus believing something can cause people harm actually prevents people from action? Interesting.

Better be right.
Just a prediction and jmo, evil murders will seek to survive and be judged. That is what social media is pointing towards. Judgement is what social media thrives on and phones are a conduit for.

Tim Cook is a survivor.

I'm easily in your camp......I've been pointing at that many a year now....

here's what I posted on our local board in relative terms....

---------------

this is a tragedy w/o a real solution other than repealing the 2nd ammendment, securing our borders to the point of 100% illegal contraband, and gentically engineering people to eradicate all 'illicits'.....

edit: the one thing I'll give ya as a solution would be to amend the 1st 'social media' amendment with either a fineable or prison offense based on the threat issued.....a threat vs. flat our murder would be a nice dividing line....

I'll easily agree it's become yelling, "Fire" in a theater....

it’s not anyone’s fault. Let’s prevent this in the future. While I believe Facebook and Amazon has controled peoples live and bear responsibility for some people’s actions as a conduit of manipulation, let’s not let our guilt to blame guns or things like them like Social Media.

Teachers should not be blamed for what they teach and what they tell.

Remember the first kid in class that had a “Smart phone”? How is that different than the first kid on the block with a tv?

Well for one, RF-EMR:

It ain’t good!
