And if I recall correctly (not looking) from our honeymoon there some time ago, it’s cause Costa was largely settled years ago by Pacifist Quakers and Pa. Dutch. Looking to avoid service in WWI or WWII.

There is no standing Army, and most of the public resources get poured into a rather spectacular medical economy. Pretty firstworld stuff in an otherwise decidedly third world shitehole of an area.

It’s part of why Stinky and Dunk are gonna go bend a rod, an elbow and a hog leg here in the next ten years or so...

There is certainly a lot to do in the USA, beaches, lakes, mountains, camping, skiing, hiking, but I do like resorts in the Caribbean.

I agree 100% as there are still plenty of places I want to visit in the US. However, that in no way limits my desire to visit other countries, etc. The two are not mutually exclusive.
