I actually got the link from bit_9 so lets credit him. To me whats baffling is Antoine himself hasn't said a word about this. I am not sure what is happening but things should clear up soon.

Yeah they left us all with speculation. BTW i thought that mystery OL Commit was Teagon McDonald which later became clear with his tweet. Was there another OL commit we are still not sure about?

I'm assuming no word on the commitment yet that alludes to the Canadian player.
Just curious, looks like we may have 18-20 new recruits so far for 2019. I believe there are 18 listed by the recruiting service 247sport. Is there a particular number that appears to be how many new players or recruits that will need to be replaced. Is there such a thing as a magic number of how many recruits ODU maybe looking for in 2019, or any limitations placed on teams by the NCAA (max numbers of new recruits in a year). I know there is always attrition, but how many Seniors are currently on this squad / team.
Hope this mystery tweet about the Canadian commitment is disclosed or confirmed soon.

We have 22 seniors. Account for a couple attrition and probably a couple spots free right now.

I believe they all redshirted. What an incredible DL class that many of them played 5 years together. And Ward played as a true freshman so will graduate with them.

Well, at least HS coaches cant say we don't offer the locals any more. We have offers out to quite a few of those guys. I assume we gauged the interest of the top top guys as well but were told not to bother as they would go to the Alabamas etc. Dixon, Jennings and Jones all sound like intriguing prospects. All of the top 17 guys sound great to me and have good offers.

Why don't you offer a top level kid anyhow? What does it hurt even if you know he's not coming, you are at least recognizing him and letting folks know interest on your part.

It's no-win for the staff. Either this argument, or "They offered all Top 50 and only landed one guy, what a bunch of maroons".

I'm talking about top level 757 recruits. Not the whole country. The Ed Millers rating of top 50 players showed the top 5-8 players all going to P5's with no mention of an offer from ODU. Really, what's the down side to offering the best of 757?

I can see why we wouldn't want to offer any top talent outside of Hampton Roads. Buggs and Grubbs are missing out on a gem by not having you on staff.
