FBI still suppressing Steele dossier information - No Bull - 02-05-2018 11:33 AM

Article in the Hill

The FBI’s reliance on the anti-Trump dossier is questionable because while the judge was reportedly told the author had political motivations, the FBI allegedly did not disclose who funded it: Donald Trump’s chief opponent in the presidential race — the Hillary Clinton campaign — and the Democratic National Committee.

Not only that, the newly-released criminal referral says Steele actually incorporated information that was funneled to him through Clinton associates and the U.S. State Department where Clinton had served as Secretary of State from 2009 to early 2013. In a memo dated Oct. 19, 2016, Steele wrote that a foreign source who was in touch with “a friend of the Clintons” passed him material through a U.S. State Department connection.

Even more problematic, the FBI may have violated strict rules — Woods Procedures — that forbid it from presenting even a single unverified fact to the special court, let alone a lengthy dossier full of them.

Other potential conflicts of interest became apparent when senators Grassley and Graham asked the FBI for permission to release the Steele criminal referral last month. Grassley says the FBI stonewalled then claimed that unclassified information was actually classified and said it could not be released.

I've read that Nunes is investigating the State Department's role in this scandal but hadn't given much thought to how it might be involved.

So now the rumor is they channeled information to Steele? Interesting. After all those visits to Russia by Steele during his data gathering, one wonders why he would have needed help from the State Department. LOL

If this involves the State Department...then this is not just a DOJ and FBI issue...it is an Obama Administration issue...

This could be much much larger than Watergate...

I've read that they are discussing 4 or 5 more memos being released by the pub Congressional investigators.

I came to that conclusion long ago due to the unmasking. Too much of it going on and it was too often centered on the Trump campaign. Watergate was ultimately an attempt by low level staffers to steal DNC documents and bug the DNC Watergate HQ. Obama said hold my beer, I have a way we can use the intelligence agencies to taint the Trump campaign AND spy on them at the same time. It’s really that simple.

Here's a copy of the criminal referral of Steele.

So not only was the dossier fake, substance of another dossier was fed to Steele by friends of Hillary Clinton. (Sid Blumenthal is one of the actors)

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this info also wasnt disclosed to the FISC.

Dud Nunes should be in the field investigating cow patties.

Ben Rhodes. He'll be in the national news again before it's all said and done.

This is a huge scandal. So does Mueller have the balls to recommend impeachment? He has found no evidence of collusion...but may say Trump obstructed....

yet none of this would have come to be....without The corrupt Obama State department, the corrupt DOJ and FBI, abd the super corrupt Clinton Campaign and DNC..

this seems like entrapment = practice whereby a law enforcement agent induces a person to commit a criminal offence that the person would have otherwise been unlikely or unwilling to commit

How does this play out?

You know...that at the end of this... Trump is still president... Obama's rep is in ruins and people are doing prison time right?

The end result is your party splits into two or three pieces. Democrat, Progressive and socialist.

Tell me this cb.... who is the 1st democrat that splits from the party on this?

Who is your MCain?

Does it ever bother you that your party marches in lockstep? Does know democrat have qualms about what was done with the FISA court?

are you not the slight bit perplexed..my brother...

Death by a thousand cuts if I was controlling how all the information became public. First I'd offer just enough info to make the dims go nuts and say stupid shyte like they did with the recent release of the memo and then slam them with facts.

BTW, is Schiffty still talking about his memo? If not, why not?

Is that the same Doug Jones who voted the same way Roy Moore would have on the tax cuts?

cb, you've always seemed pretty level-headed to me, and open-minded enough to make jokes from time to time that take a swipe at both sides. What's your general opinion on how this thing has unfolded over the last year or so and the direction it's headed?

Induces being the key element. Defense lawyers always argue their client was induced. In fact they are seldom induced, but more rather act according to their criminal inclinations.

It's really a complete cluster to this point with a bunch of speculation from us nobody's. This will probably end with nothing happening, but some are going out of their way to make themselves look bad before we even get some results. Investigations take time, and I'm really waiting on Mueller to complete his task.

Mueller has talked to neither Trump nor Assange. He hasn't even reached out to Assange. If he is supposedly investigating Trump/Russia collusion based on the conspiracy theory that Trump and Russia colluded to hack the DNC and release the content on Wikileaks, yet has not talked to 2 out of the 3 coconspirators, what exactly is he doing? I'll give him a pass for not talking to Putin, but maybe he should try because he might kill Putin with a massive heart attack from laughing too hard.

We aslo need a second independent counsel...for the DOJ, FBI, Clinton State Department stuff... if you hope to have this president removed from office...there is a lot of other stuff to be cleared up...and it does not fall under Mueller's purview... (nor should it)

The investigation is on the tampering of the election. So in theory Trump isn't under investigation, just his campaign. Some say he can toss a wider net and possibly include Trump. My thoughts have been he's possibly looking under any and every rock. I think George P, Manafort, and Gates are his only gets. GP is an idiot and the other two were shady.
