As far as I'm concerned he has flubbed his first year entirely by not getting tv on regular stations of our football & basketball...Comcast, nbc, one of the espn stations, Fox, cbs, regional, etc.
When I see games from the Big South, Southern, Ivy, Patriot, Mid-American, etc. This week alone there were games that included Presbyterian, Liberty, Texas State, Buffalo, Akron, Bowling Green, Dartmouth
and Navy.
During football season the only CAA games were independent televised games by Richmond and JMU, who arranged their own telecasts.
The CAA and new commissioner dropped the ball for certain. Being on regular tv assures exposure for the league to recruits and grows local interest in the league's teams.
The fact is that, right now, we're invisible!

Hard to know whether the absence of basketball tv coverage is more related to the commissioner’s salesmanship prowess or the composition of the conference. Would be interesting to know why CBS thinks it can sell ads for Patriot League content and not for CAA. Wonder whether the commissioner and ADs have this insight?

Well, a learning curve is to be expected, as he is a first time commissioner, but I have not been impressed, to date, with his time on the job.
The TV coverage, even if the general trend is to other outlets, is a big problem. If regular TV coverage is not a big deal anymore, why is every other conference still set on using it?
I'll also be looking to see how he sells the CAA when it comes to national Tournaments, including Men's Basketball.
It's still early, but he has made little imprint, so far.
