Interesting to see where former UD PG Kory Holden is now transferring from South Carolina, after missing the first half of this season with an injury. Imagine Delaware this year if Holden had stayed and trying to stop that backcourt with Daly and Allen!!

Yes Kari transferred before the season started and went back to Iceland. He is playing professionally over there. Major Canady not sure he is considered a transfer as he graduated, last year.

SO 6’6” SG Richard Washington, originally from Williamsburg, will be transferring from Wake Forest.

Have been wondering when this would finally occur. Could it be???

Medical redshirt this year due to an elbow injury, so, possible for 3 years eligibility after sitting out a year, if he can get a 6th year waiver from the NCAA.

Sorry if I missed this somewhere, but I wonder if we'd look at freshman Chris Sodom? Georgetown dismissed him for violating team rules.

Only if he left Gomorrah at Georgetown....

He was dismissed in December (rumored arrest). Would think if he was transferring he would have done so already. May be that his reinstatement to the team is still in the future, since based on some other tweets he may still be at Georgetown.

Washington with the extra year would fit very nicely in the Luke/Jihar class.

Since he had a medical redshirt this year, would he still have to sit out next year if he transferred?

I think we are a great fit for Washington, however I worry about former hs chums getting in his ear about Richmond (Sherrod) and ODU (Green). I'd imagine if he hopes to get closer to home that those programs will be in his ear.

Three available scholies. One for a class of 2018 big, one for a grad transfer big, one left for either Washington or Peterson ?? Would leave only 2 scholies available for the 2019 class. Assume one of those 2019 has to be another big man which may push for an earlier decision from Bertram, if he is considering.

If Washington reconsiders us, I can't see us taking both Washington and Peterson, so, may add a little pressure to both for making a decision sooner than later.

Would be nice if those dynamics played out.

Wyatt Walker, the 6’9” 240lb center out of Jacksonville that WM offered back in the 2015 class, is transferring from Samford. He will be graduating in May so he will be immediately eligible. After being a starter his first two seasons he only played in 2 games this season as a junior - someone on Twitter said he would have two years of eligibility left but I’m not sure.

RE: 2018 CAA MBB Transfers - mrjoolius - 03-05-2018 12:54 PM

Sounds like exactly like what we need from a grad transfer

2018 CAA MBB Transfers - Tribeheart - 03-05-2018 12:55 PM

Believe he was injured this year, so, an extra year would be dependent on getting a medical redshirt. He will want to start wherever he goes, so, not sure he'll be interested in the prospect of backing up Nathan for two years. Possible we could sell him on moving Nathan to the stretch four and playing both together, or vice versa. Would be a major get for the staff if he came.

Averaged 13 & 7 as a freshman and 17 and 10 as a sophomore. He was an all-socon performer. Him leaving has the feel of trying to go high major, but without a doubt coaches need to reach out.
