All would settle nicely if Mehkel developed more quickly than many now believe and earned the
spot filling in for Knight a few minutes a night.

Hofstra signed 6'8" 220 lb Penn grad transfer Dan Dwyer, who had season ending surgery early last season. Not much impact at Penn.

Saw coach Boatner was following Bucknell big man Nate Sestina. I haven't found mention of him transferring, but fits the grad transfer profile. Big kid coming off of an injury. May mean nothing.

Iyekekpolor goes to Fort Lewis (D2).

Towson’s Justin Gorham to Houston.

Started 27 games for FIU last year. Injured most of his first two years. IT major. Would add the depth we need for one year and certainly closer to home.

Hussein to UIC.

The whole transfer thing has become sort of a farce.

Lot of teams passed on Martin. Wonder if Towson doesn't suffer that much from his loss.

I dunno. Maybe going to class isn't his thing. Hell of a basketball player. I cannot imagine most D1 programs wouldn't want him based on talent alone.
He was the best scorer on that Towson team and one of the better scorers in the conference. It won't be easy to just replicate Zane's scoring output. Big loss for Towson and the CAA.

RE: 2018 CAA MBB Transfers - WM Beancounter - 07-08-2018 11:31 AM

Watch the professional video Martin had made announcing his big transfer decision. What a load of self serving crap. He's a very good player, but if that video is any indication of the underlying ego and personality, I'd be wary of bringing him into my program, too.

Not a 2018 transfer, but it's a shame we missed out on Greg's upperclassmen years.

Greg Malinowski (@GeorgetownHoops) went off at the Kenner League. Here are his highlights from this past weekend. [BASKETBALL AND HOOP] @gmowski [MOVIE CAMERA] @andrew_canavos #KennerLeague https://t.co/lAihc7nFt8

RE: 2018 CAA MBB Transfers - Tribeheart - 07-09-2018 08:24 PM

From his first Kenner League game:

Gideon Hertz
@GMHertz
Jul 7
Keep in mind this is just based off what I saw today, and remember, it’s the first day of #KennerLeague

Greg Malinowski - C
Hit some shots but largely underwhelming

Wish Greg well for whatever reason he chose to leave. He may have left to avoid losing playing time to Milon and Pierce, only to find he loses playing time to Mac McClung, who has apparently picked up where he left off in HS.

Have a hunch that team chemistry was far better last year without Whitman and Malinowski.

I only wish Greg and Jack the best. By all accounts, fine young men who wanted a change.

Agree - though I'm obviously biased in Greg's case.

I have no problem with athletes who put in hard work and are good students but want to transfer elsewhere for a different playing situation or a school where they are more comfortable. It's always disappointing when it doesn't work out with a talented contributor, but in the long run, that player's happiness and career/future (whether it be academic or athletic) should come first when making such decisions. Remember that an individual athlete is simply one of many who are here in a four year period, but it's a life-defining experience for the athlete. They should navigate their experience in the way that is best for them.

Yeah, Quinn Blair was tweeting him about that ... I think they competed against each other in high school and now get to do it again. I think Greg’s team got the best of Quinn, but Quinn now says college is a different place and will have different results.
