we're both wrong...i just scrolled through UAB's website and the last game listed on the schedule is UAB vs. Oregon NCAA first round. Since its the last game, I assumed we lost (which I thought was odd, b/c I also thought that was the Sweet16 year.
Upon further review, we beat Oregon in the first round...and apparently nobody that runs the website thought it was important to list the following games.
We then beat Mississippi State and lost to Rutgers in the Sweet 16

You'll notice only nine games are listed for the 1999-2000 season. When the website switched over to Sidewinder,Sports a lot of old archive data was lost. And it's not info that is actually updated, but just carried over year to year, beginning in around 2000.
I'm glad I keep my on records. A family member once asked me why I keep up with UAB's statistics, when UAB does it. This is why.

Looking at the media guide, we beat Oregon 80-79 in OT, in the first round, beat Mississippi State second round 76-70, and lost to Rutgers in the Sweet 16 60-45

The women also made the NCAA in 1994, losing in the first round to George Washington. The men lost also that year to George Washington in the first round.

I remember several of those young ladies on that team. Holly Holland-Berry, Brandi Stallings, Mia Thrash, Deanna Jackson, just to name a few. Jennie Milling was the coach.
