After his performance last night, looks like our Steven Williams will have some competition for best left-handed sophomore QB for 2018.

Lane was banking on the freshman transferring. He said it in a presser. That Freshman has beat out Jalen Hurtz all season in camps and practices. We may have dodged a bullet actually because from Lanes interview it sounded like he wouldve been an Owl if he didnt play in that game and get the spotlight put on him.

No, you can’t but he doesn’t have to. He was his coordinator. Probably helped recruit him to Bama. Lane is already a known quantity and once he got approval to transfer, it would be easy.

Someone is getting the QBs confused. Lane coached Hurts. The other QB was a true freshman and Lane claims he would have transferred if he didn't play in the title game. Every school in the country would go after the freshman, I doubt that he would sign with FAU.
Now, Hurts to FAU? That would seem logical.

Not necessarily, if he hadn't played in that game no one would know who he was. He'd just be another overrated recruit that couldn't hack it at P5.

You don't honestly believe this do you? Tua was the number 1 rated QB in the country. You think teams wouldn't know he was because he didn't start as a true freshman?

Him going to FAU would be a shock. The other kids that transfer to FAU did it for a reason....they have baggage. Tua is the number 1 QB in country with no baggage and has a chance to be a number 1 pick. Playing at FAU wouldn't help him.

Tua was going to transfer to UCLA to play for Chip Kelly if he hadn't played on Monday night. Tua is from the same high school as Marcus Mariotta...who also played for Chip Kelly.
My GUESS is that Hurts will look to transfer somewhere. It's pretty obvious he's no longer the guy and it only took one half of a football game.
