I didn't notice VCU projected to make the Tournament. I also didn't see them listed among the teams that made it last year but weren't projected to make it this year under their "departures" list.

Butler would be a good matchup for us. They don't have a ton outside of Baldwin and Martin. Caver could play well vs Baldwin. Martin is a matchup nightmare, but I think Haynes might be the best guy to go against him.

ODU is projected to finish the 2017-18 season with a 25-5 final record. This according to RealTime RPI.
The projection has us winning our games at home against Marshall, WKU & MTSU. However it predicts that we will lose at Marshall and WKU.

This, their best win is ODU by a good margin and we are now out of the Top - 100 after Rice.
This conference would be tough to get 25 wins with the travel.

College Basketball is a simple game. You give ten guys a basketball, let them dribble it around for 40 minutes and in the end, Butler always wins against ODU.

This could be a nice redemption story if ODU beats Middling Tennessee in the CUSA final and follows that with a first-round NCAA win against Butler. Any other bugbears in ODU's modern history?
