except that the prediction is from 2016, but it was a bad one.

Does The Jester make the top 10 for all the "buckle up" predictions?

I predicted DJT.....

I also said I would short the market a couple of mos. ago when I was unsure if the tax plan had a chance to pass.....

win some, lose some.....

however, winning the former vs. losing the latter may be my fave of all time....

kudos and 04-cheers to being right and being right getting it wrong 03-wink

Yea, on election night John boy here was celebrating the market dropping over seas that night by 700 points. He told us he hoped we were happy at what we had done to the market. Well John boy was banned last year and the market exploded. It was a great year.

In fairness....We have no idea how much he had in those accounts or how quickly he might need it. Both of those things would impact a decision like that. If I had enough to fund my child's education and needed the money within the next year...i could see making that move. In fact...Im pretty sure that is exactly what I did years ago when I was in a similar situation with my daughters funds. I would though not have made such a blanket statement as he did...telling others to sell simply because of an election.

Senior writer for Newsweek and contributing editor for Vanity Fair......yeah, I'm following exactly what this guy says for financial advice......

Paul Krugman - part time economist, full time leftist. Wonder if he still has much of a readership??

Love it when leftists make predictions that are totally wrong!!04-cheers

I put a nice wager on your Cards in your bowl game. MSU had lost their HC and starting qb. Well, I jinxed your team. Sorry about that.

I committed a lot of time and energy in the late 90s loudly proclaiming the new VW Beetle and Camden Yards would be a total and abject failure because no one wanted anything to do with retro or nostalgia.

Whoops.

I'm glad the economy did well this year. My 401k finished up 18.22%. If we don't have a significant downturn I should be able to retire in 2021. I certainly don't want to assume the same returns I've seen over the last few years but it would be nice!
