So, is it Facebook trying to be impartial or are they trying to still favor a certain political party? Either way, having access to additional articles with divergent viewpoints is a good addition IMHO.

Quote:Facebook is getting rid of its fake news red flags because they were making fabricated media reports appear more believable to its users.

The social network began showing "disputed" warnings next to articles in December to alert people that third party fact-checking websites deemed them misleading.

It will now show a selection of “related articles” next to offending stories instead. These will give more context and could help people learn the facts surrounding a situation through reputable media publications.

They should just banned the people behind the fake news off their site. If I own a social network, one of the TOs would be no fake news can be posted unless it is a satire site that is more for laughs and sarcasm.
