How many open scholarships do we have left?

After this one my guess is 2 to 3 more. That can change if there is an injury or transfer out or a 5th year decides not to return

My nephew would be happy as a walk-on. Can't even get a call back from EMU, he was QB for the Division 8 Michigan High School champions. Fortunately some DII schools are interested.

This guy is from Ypsi and went to Lincoln HS. It would be nice if he came home.

Transferred to Miami, FL.

Belleville HS. 6'5" 255lbs. DE is a wide open position and it's nice to have local players.

We can delete a PWO per Detroit News...

Wolverines add in-state walk-on
Zack Conti, a 6-foot-7, 293-pound senior offensive tackle from Trenton has committed to Michigan as a preferred walk-on. Conti was previously committed to Eastern Michigan as a preferred walk-on.

Conti helped his Trojan squad reach the second round of the playoffs his senior season.

Damn that Michigan mystique! They offered Alex a PWO and he barely thought about it. He wants to play, not ride the pine until his Junior or Senior year on half a promise. I wish some of these guys would see that. A PWO at Michigan has a long row to hoe to even have a hope of seeing the field.

2019 Football Recruiting - TheWoodenNickle - 01-16-2019 05:52 PM

Well, he'll likely never see the field. But he can tell everyone that he "plays" for UM while spending a ton of money on school. Living the fantasy.

If he really wants to play he'll go where they offer him a full scholarship.

Hoying 2.0

Not even rated by the recruiting services after winning Ohio Division 2 defensive player of the year. 168 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, three forced fumbles

Perfect replacement for Brody at the Rover position, or Calhoun at strong safety, after they graduate this year.

Great sleeper recruit who will have a long productive career in the MAC.
