The impact of President Trump on journalism? - Dasville - 12-04-2017 12:46 PM Gotta be tough on current students. Or is it? What are the “Professors” teaching at “the Best” journalism programs around the Country. Is President Trump a “one off”? I come at this knowing that every single “journalist” today is a manipulated *****. Not their fault. But they are. RE: The impact of President Trump on journalism? - EagleX - 12-04-2017 12:48 PM he's winning. he's forcing them into more and more extreme reactions, and more and more provably false news stories. when he first began criticizing the MSM for "fake" news, it was more accurately termed "hostile" news, but now they are literally pumping our unprovable, hysterical, or just flat out false stories. That’s what I mean. Are today’s students studying journalism or effective political manipulation? Journalism History is literally being redefined. Or illuminated if you like. RE: The impact of President Trump on journalism? - Dasville - 12-04-2017 12:58 PM I don’t see a lot of difference between the awakening of sexual harassment cases and media bias. How are the “Professors” of today handling this in today’s “best” journalism Universities? RE: The impact of President Trump on journalism? - Dasville - 12-04-2017 12:59 PM Media/PRess should be able to audit the classes. What are the “Professors” teaching at “the Best” journalism programs around the Country. Is President Trump a “one off”? Trump has simply exposed what has been there for a long time. Now that they have been exposed, they are no longer trying to hide it. But a lot of Democrats are stupid enough that they still don't see it. RE: The impact of President Trump on journalism? - stinkfist - 12-04-2017 01:02 PM he's beating them down like they owe him money...... today's journos are an oxymoron when trying to put ethics in the same statement nobody is going to put their career on the line coupled with the massiveness the gov't has become over the last ~100 yrs..... Hearst new it......they're playing it straight out of his playbook..... #thankAlgorism for the latest version RE: The impact of President Trump on journalism? - Kronke - 12-04-2017 01:02 PM Legacy/lame-stream media with their NYC skyscrapers and billion dollar budgets are the walking dead. Hybrid operations (internet based, self/crowd-funded) like Infowars, Rubin Report, TYT (correct model, sh*t content -- so they may still fail), and citizen journalists like Mike Cernovich, Tim Pool, etc. are the future. I would like to think current students are being taught to practice credible journalism, fact check, etc. However, it seems all that goes out the window once they get a job and the ones writing the checks TELL them what to write irregardless of the facts, etc. RE: The impact of President Trump on journalism? - UCF08 - 12-04-2017 02:26 PM (12-04-2017 01:02 PM)Kronke Wrote: Legacy/lame-stream media with their NYC skyscrapers and billion dollar budgets are the walking dead. RE: The impact of President Trump on journalism? - Marc Mensa - 12-04-2017 02:32 PM Consumers see little value in getting a story right and more value in seeing their POV reinforced. Legitimate news outlets and legitimate journalists will be irrelevent in 25 years. I remember 40 years ago when we were asked in a freshman English class why we chose our majors, the journalism major said she chose it because she "wanted to manipulate people's opinions." The people who chose journalism are the problem. The professors merely reflect the people who have been choosing journalism over the last 40 years. RE: The impact of President Trump on journalism? - Kronke - 12-04-2017 02:43 PM Even Huffpo is a more legitimate model, where contributors free-lance and write under one banner. Same with news aggregators like Drudge and Reddit. We don't need fake news anymore. They're dinosaurs! I rest my case, amazon post has the backing of bezos and his $100 billion, and can’t beat Breitbart. Just like sick hillary, you can’t just throw money at something and expect to win in this age. Your ideas must have value. Hence why their next move is to push for censorship. RE: The impact of President Trump on journalism? - Dasville - 12-04-2017 02:58 PM How many ways can the “journalist” ask.... ”Did you make that pie?” “Prove it”!
