"Unfortunately, the Tigers will be very upset with this match-up and not put much effort into the game so if UCF wins, it's not like they really earned it."

Everyone knows AAC has good football... Auburn won't take UCF lightly.

I totally disagree with you…. Auburn has an opportunity to claim another victory over an unbeaten and highly ranked team (UCF should be #10)—which is definitely enough motivation to put forth maximum effort in this game. If UCF can win this game, it would likely start next season ranked #10 in my opinion.

How is it that the AAC UCF draws the the great SEC runner up Auburn vs the ACC runner up Miami or the Big 12 runnerup TCU? Is the committee trying to make sure as they can that the AAC champ won’t win. Just asking.

Really looking forward to this one. Both teams have something to prove. If UCF wins I hope they hang a national championship banner, or whatever hang at football stadiums 04-cheers

I think you overlooking the big picture... I see it as a compliment for the AAC.. or perhaps the Committee is trying to save face by been called out as fake.

This matchup is a test to see if UCF warrants its #12 ranking. I’m glad the committee has given UCF the chance to prove that it belongs.

Which is why UCF will drop 2 spots after they win...

I'm looking forward to the game. We're hoping KJ and Pettway both will be back healthy. Our defense should also be healthy.

I don't know why anyone would think we're not taking it seriously because we should be. If UCF beats us they'll have earned it.

We're not like Bama. We take our loses like men without excuses. Good luck to everyone in the bowl seasons except UCF 03-wink.

Peach Bowl makes that selection I believe, not the committee. Auburn fan base will travel there better than a Miami or a TCU. Peach or Sugar always wants a Bama, Auburn, Georgia. Location and fan base. Miami is in the Orange Bowl of course.
This is a great gig for UCF. I would anticipate a lot of their fans make the trip.

Bingo---

UCF would wax Miami or TCU or Wisconsin

It'll be Baylor all over again.

Win = "meh, Auburn wasn't pumped for this game"

Lose = "see, UCF can't hang with this type of talent!"

The Bowls make the selection. Not including the rotation for the playoff, which is locked in.

Whatever, go win and collect the hardware. The trophy, rings, and history books won't show the degree to which Auburn was "pumped".

Well no, actually...

After the playoff is set, the NY6 bowls and conferences with contract tie ins get made well. Orange contract is ACC (so they get Miami) vs top available SEC/ND/Big10.
THEN they fit geography and minimizing rematches etc.
So TCU staying West makes sense. Obtw, that goes in order, so where they're ranked UCF doesn't exactly get to define their loss wn destiny.
Honestly, might be a good matchup for UCF as "styles make fights"

The fact that UCF is #12 is a joke, by this logic even in an 8 team playoff they wouldn't be in. I was hoping they would draw a Wisconsin.

If the American wants to be P6, then this is exactly the game we need: SEC runner up, national spotlight, great opponent both in talent and prestige. Personally, I think UCF would have no problem beating Miami or TCU. Auburn will be a true test. I will cheer for and expect a Knights victory.

True, but we need to do more damage in the regular season too. Particularly doing our part taking down P5 teams.
