Couldn't we have fought for the Detroit bowl against a P5? Or our league commissioner? I just don't get why they would slate us in a rematch bowl.

A rematch, huh? Interesting...time for some payback. I do think our D is playing much better now than they were playing going into the Camellia Bowl last time.
Mobile seems to always put on a good show. Probably the best location we could have reasonably hoped for given the MAC’s bowl options.

If a MAC team heads to Detroit it will likely be CMU.

We wanted to be playing in the Superdome in the New Orleans Bowl but our conference screwed us out of that. It is what it is, I guess it's a chance of a rematch against two strong teams. Should be a good game.

Yeah, this one is a little tough to figure other than the fact that the 23rd is a Saturday and a full week after exams so the whole team and staff can really participate in bowl activities and the fans have the weekend to travel there and still get back for Christmas eve although it's kinda tight. With a few openings in larger bowls and a couple possible P5 opponents it seems like the MAC could have made some things happen. Gonna see a couple other MAC teams in arguably better bowl situations even though they didn't win the league. Would have preferred to see us in Florida or Texas where we recruit a lot more than Alabama.

Troy would have been a good game down there...
I guess the Rockets will have to focus on beating Appy State this time around...
And play to win or have your best players on the field to put yourself in a position to win... If we do win, no respect will be garnered nationally... Would almost rather have Detroit and an ACC opponent...

To be fair, scUM fans are griping about having to play South Carolina again. We need to whoop App. State's ass this time around and finish the season ranked (currently at 28 AP/ 29 Coaches).

Another forgetful, wanted season with a worthless stupid bowl game.
The P5 will never give G5 a chance to shown them up on the big stage unless you are undefeated.
At least put us against a 6 win P5 to show on the field if we belong.

I'll never forget this memorable season. Has been a lot of fun, just need to finish with a BANG. But I did really want to see more of an effort by the powers of the league to get Toledo in a much better bowl matchup...Now I want to see the powers of our University get us the hell out of the MAC and into the AAC.
