The 2 best teams in the league. Sorry App, but I consider Troy the sole champs. I fully believe App would not bet either of us after seeing all play. Troy has the best defense in the league and they proved it tonight. Although we were able to rack up over 500 yards, their red zone D lived up to their billing. Our Defense wasn't too shabby either. Our offense moved the ball, but couldn't overcome the turnovers. I do believe we have the best receivers in the league. Anyways, Kudos to Troy. Kudos to ASU. The 2 best teams in the league.

Congrats again to Troy. They did what they needed to do. We’ll have to wait until 2018 for another ring.
We have a lot of guys coming back next year. I think it’ll be a very special year for stAte.

It better be. We risk losing a lot of all the goodwill we've built up with another year like this one. 7-4 is dangerous. We didn't play a single good team outside of SMU and Troy. It's good enough that Anderson will never be fired for it, but it's also not good enough that he'll ever be hired out.
Next year has to be one of those 9-10 win seasons. Crappy OOC schedule outside of Bama, we don't play Troy in league. If we don't win 9-10 games, it's going to set off major alarm bells.
Tonight is more tolerable if we don't screw the pooch in Mobile, because Troy is very good. However we screwed up...and now we pay for it.

Arkansas State has been FBS for decades. This is the best run you have ever had, by far. We’ve rolled out of FCS and without blinking we have the same Sun Belt record as you since we arrived. Don’t know where this smug sense of superiority comes from, but enjoy your make believe second place Sun Belt award! We will enjoy the championship trophy.

It's never fun to lose, but have some class and dignity when your team loses. It sucks to have the Conference Championship dangling in front of you and lose it, but this is about as classless as it gets. App won. Troy won. They are co-champions and the two best teams (by conference record), whether you choose to recognize that or not. Good luck in your bowl game, as I will always root for SBC teams when they aren't playing App, and that includes stAte.
