New western basketball league - shizzle787 - 12-01-2017 12:46 PM

With SDSU potentially not having a football stadium and UNLV playing football in a city that is about to have an NFL team, I could see those two dropping football in the future as neither can get a PAC-12 invite. With that being said, could a new all-basketball league form in the west:
Gonzaga
St. Mary's
BYU
SDSU
UNLV
NMSU
UC Davis
UC Santa Barbera
UC Irvine
San Francisco

WCC is a tight-knit group and will not split apart...except for BYU.

Stupid thread.

Not happening my friend. San Diego St is working on a new stadium plan while UNLV will be in the NFL's shadow I don't see them voluntarily give up football.

I think it's near useless, but I don't see a home for everyone in the WAC were that conference to dissolve. Things are pretty embedded out there, though...can't see anyone peeling off from Big West, WCC, or Big Sky to add to whatever WAC cast-off's there would be.
