Trump faces new obstruction allegations - Fitbud - 12-01-2017 12:12 PM

President Trump over the summer repeatedly urged senior Senate Republicans, including the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, to end the panel’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, according to a half dozen lawmakers and aides. Mr. Trump’s requests were a highly unusual intervention from a president into a legislative inquiry involving his family and close aides.

Senator Richard Burr of North Carolina, the intelligence committee chairman, said in an interview this week that Mr. Trump told him that he was eager to see an investigation that has overshadowed much of the first year of his presidency come to an end. […]

In addition, according to lawmakers and aides, Mr. Trump told Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the Republican leader, and Senator Roy Blunt, Republican of Missouri and a member of the intelligence committee, to end the investigation swiftly.

Well, it IS Friday and Democrats need something for their shills in the media to focus on over the weekend

This is old news... a repeat of literally months ago.

THIS IS IT!

Does eagerness warrant the death penalty in DC, or just life in prison? Asking for a desperate, coastal fringe group.

Why wouldn't Trump like to see the investigation end? It dogged his first year in office and turned up a couple of guys that lied about when meetings took place. Him wanting to see the investigation hardly rises to the ranks of the thread "new obstruction allegations"

Probably to try to overshadow the horrific injustice that occurred in CA last night.

I think you need to understand that it isn't going to be one thing that will bring an impeachment. It will be a lot of things.

One isolated incident of "cooperation" "collusion" or "obstruction" isn't going to be enough to bring anyone down. It's going to be a lot of evidence from a number of sources.

This is just part of evidence against Trump that furthers the notion that he attempted to stop an investigation that is supposedly 100% fake.

Who knows? I just can't help but sit back and enjoy their misery and repeated failed attempts to derail Trump and I didn't even vote for the man. I guess they have no idea how out of touch and desperate they actually look.

Because it's Friday and Democrats need something for their shills in the media to focus on over the weekend

Didn't I just say that?

The events are not new. The comments are not new. His desire to move beyond it is not new

It MAY be new that the Times is now focusing on it and thus the 'allegations' from THEM are new, or that someone just asked these guys the same question they asked months ago and got the same response, and thus someone is interpreting 'Trump asked us to move on' as an allegation of something new....

but it's not.

Faces new allegations.

Seems like a foolproof plan

Nothing is going to bring impeachment. The Democrats do not have the votes.

How many times can I vote for Trump in 2020? Asking for a friend.
