More ridiculous PC. You've got a Spanish speaking Cuban new to America and he gets a 5 game suspension for basically taunting an opposing pitcher. Sensitivity training is one thing. But the suspension is just an unreasonable knee jerk reaction.
He's new to America. No common sense by the commissioner. Baseball must be getting pressure from politically correct corporations and starting to make the same bad decisions as the NFL.

Reasoning for that was the MLB Commish didn't want to punish all of the Astros for the actions of one. Effectively though, it dilludes the punishment to relatively nothing. So he get's 5 days off at the beginning of a 162 game regular season? Who cares. That's MLB "doing something" so they don't seem insensitive, but also not really giving a ****.

What's real irritating to me is Gurriel apologized to Darvish after realizing it was wrong, which led to Darvish's forgiveness of Gurriel (not to mention the five-game suspension handed down by the Commish), and the social justice warriors don't care. They want their pound of flesh because, you know, "social justice" and crap.
Was he (Gurriel) wrong for doing what he did? Sure. Absolutely. This diehard Astros fan thinks so. Still, he manned up and apologized when he realized what he did was wrong, and the target of his so-called "taunt" even accepted his apology! Why is it that the "victim" can let it go, but social justice warriors can't? (Oh, yeah. Because "reasons" or some weird crap.)
Only those who are faultless have the right to pass judgement upon others. Last I checked, none of us are perfect. NONE OF US! So judge not, lest ye be judged.

He did not mock the pitcher. He was in the dugout sitting down, away from the field of play.
