Is it over? Haven't heard anything about it in a few weeks which I'm guessing means the media doesn't want to report if it is over. I did hear we sold out tonight though.

They announced during tonight's game that it was sellout #58.
But they had to give away tickets to a bunch of Boy Scout and Cub Scout troops in order to get there.

If the tickets are sold it is a sellout. It doesn’t matter if they did group sales to do it or if the tickets are used or not. With that said way too much importance placed on this dopey streak.

The crowd tonight was probably the best we have had this season. But I have no clue why anyone left before the last drive. And way too many did.

Crowd outside of the WKY/student section was great. Never know the circumstances. I almost had to leave bc of my kid. Really tough for anyone with young kids to stay whole game. Got in bed 2.5 hours past bedtime. It was fun.

Honest question...first ODU game I have watched since your CAA days. Was that really the best crowd of the year?
I know Friday nights would be tough for JMU, but I thought the crowd looked sparse compared to the games I saw a few years back...and that was the best of the year?

We had a bigger crowd at kickoff for Albany, UNC and FAU. But this was the best crowd throughout the game. The Albany game was during a torrential downpour. The UNC and FAU were over before halftime. So, our best crowd (in my opinion) was a direct result of the best home game all season.

Its the first close home game in over 2 years. It was a perfect night weather wise. People were engaged.
FWIW, friday at 6 is tough. Plus there was a wreck on Hampton Blvd before the game.

FWIW, I saw about 20 minutes before baseball game and I didn’t think the crowd looked bad at all. A few small empty pockets, but that’s to be expected these days everywhere. Even the power teams are seeing empty seats.

Most of the empty seats were in the big donors sections, which are in the prime seats at mid-field. Those corporate guys sometimes have a tough time giving away Friday night tixs after a 4 game losing streak. I know my group we had a few go unused. Some kids playing HS football. I thought the crowd filled in better and by the end of the 1st qrt, was pretty good, very loud and engaged. The traffic was the worst I even seen 1-1/2 hour to go what takes usually takes 15 minutes. I know one couple who didn't make it and turned around. That caused a lot of the late arrivals, in the after work crowd.

The Friday night crowd for the MTSU game was a good crowd.
