Anything perceived as anti Trump will be super popular with the left. We could discover Martians today, and if they said we hate Trump, and we are coming to Earth to kill everyone, the Democrats would welcome them with open arms.

I don't understand what any of that has to do with the conversation that we're having. Seems like you just wanted to seem better than the democrats when I equated them with the Republicans. No matter how irrelevant it was.

And the difference is that "mainstream" Democrats have joined it, not just the flakes on the extreme 20-25% of the party
