I think we could have beaten Trinidad...we just couldn't beat them and Tobago. It was unfair, we only had 11 players and they had 22....I think.

While I didn't see the game, it seems like the US were good enough to beat themselves.

I'm still somewhere between the depression and acceptance stages of grief. I guess all streaks have to come to an end at some point - even Mexico came about as close as you could come to failing to qualify last cycle - but the prospect of ~2 years ahead with no WC tuneups, no WC itself, and no WC qualifiers is depressing.

From Qatar you can take a short hop over to Muscat. Muscat might be my favorite place in the world.
I have never been to a city (and country) with nicer people; its truly a must-visit for anyone who hasn't.
