Any word on Stanley's injury? Also any word on the return of Heath? Looking for positive RB updates.

"No James and no Stock"

Apparently James and Stockton are out as of today, but the line has moved to -6.5 MTU

Starting QB and WR are both out

Stockstill's back up was 23/31 for 250 yds 1TD and no INT.

RE: Views from the other side Mid Tennessee - ATTALLABLAZE - 10-11-2017 11:17 AM

Against a defense that would make Wayne Bolt's look good.

I believe they are absent from the recently released roster.

They predictably don't think much of AJ. LOL

Take that with a grain of salt. We have Stanley listed on our depth chart after he hurt his knee bad against La Tech. I expect to see at least the WR.

From his press conference this week, Coach Clark expects to see the WR too. And he says there's not much difference between the regular starter at QB and the guy who has filled in for four games. I know that is coach speak, but the reality is he is now a pretty experienced QB and has put up some decent numbers.

So far, MT fans are so much more humble and/or realistic in their comments, than were the LT faithful. I'm sure they expect to win, but they seem to be cautiously optimistic.

I'm praying for a great game. I'll have 4 teens with me that have never attended a UAB sporting event, and 1 adult that's only been to a few.

Make no mistake about it, there is a huge difference. Some of our fans estimate as much as a 30 point-difference. Lil' Stock is a coach on the field, and just makes everything tick.

Thing is....... he's been so banged up, I think it'll take him a while to get back to full form (even if he does return).

You will not find a single MT fan that thinks Urzua is in Stock's stratosphere. Certainly way-out there coach speak. With Stock, I would expect to roll in Birmingham, but without him this will be a battle and won't be surprised at all if we lose. We haven't been great in the turnover game, so that's where this one will be decided (as it most often is).

RE: Views from the other side Mid Tennessee - BlueraiderJT - 10-12-2017 11:50 AM

I watched your games with UNT and LT and you guys have a great team. So far, we look like crap on the road and I hope we can execute and stay in the game. I wish we had AJ still. Urzua can throw but unfortunately, he turns the ball over a lot. Last week was the cleanest game he's ever played with us. Hopefully, it starts a trend but I don't think it will. These are the types of games we lose and with everything riding on this game, I think we'll come out and lay an egg. I hope I'm wrong but that's what I'm feeling.

UAB has some nice weapons and AJ can run it too. It's gonna be a good game. That's for sure.

RE: Views from the other side Mid Tennessee - KAjunRaider - 10-12-2017 12:24 PM

AJ is good peeps.

I actually sat with his parents last time I was at Legion Field. They had blue on that day 04-cheers

Where is the best place for me to park ? Should I park somewhere else and ride the shuttle over ?

Here's the guide for parking and the shuttle:

https://blazergameday.com/

Parking is $8 at Legion Field in the single game lots. Or you can park for free in the remote lot that UAB runs and take a free shuttle to the game.

About the time one accepts caution as "coach speak", along comes USA to upset Troy after Troy had defeated LSU. Troy had to score in the closing minutes to avoid a shutout.

I bet his parents are in Green this time!

I'd just park at Legion Field. It's a crappy neighborhood, but you'll be safe enough. The shuttles work well though, that wouldn't be a bad choice and you wouldn't have to navigate.

most of what i read from LT fans seemed to be of the "we can beat anybody on our schedule...but we can lose to anybody on our schedule too" attitude (similar to what many Blazer fans have state after the win).

i think LT fans are a REALLY whiney bunch, but i didnt see a ton of arrogance from them before the game (they actually seemed more arrogant after the game)
