That was really good to see.

I also noticed no one seemed to show him the love.

I'll say this. Ingram worked the tailgate area and was kind enough to talk to a bunch of folks and candidly answer questions.

Baby steps.

Only get one chance to make a first impression.

& Watts sent the new band director a nice complimentary letter of the band performance at the Coastal Carolina game.

Hey you are either with us or against us. Maybe some are picking their side? I know Ray Ray has had his eyes opened.

I believe Watts is also footing half the cost for the alumni society tailgates at Blazer Village.

And if he does that for another 560 years, he'll have offset what his "leadership" cost the university in broken contracts, PR firms and legal costs.

Fire Ray Watts.

Only two I could compare too was when Bryan Ellis led us 99 yards against Troy and the first time we beat USM. This crowd was bigger though....

Yeah, those two standout as being in that category, but this one had something else in it - something extra special. Maybe it is just another step in a fairy tale return season that we all have longed for.

So have we made progress from this point?

Just thinking of all the ways the BOT is going to try to piss of Clark between now and bowl season.

RE: Smaug's $0.02 - BAMANBLAZERFAN - 10-12-2017 10:45 AM

Remember that the system BOT, like every other "team", is a group in constant (though gradual) transition as members leave and new members are added in their place (ex- the US Supreme Court in your lifetime). Since all new members (other than the Governor) are selected by present members, that transition is not likely to be earth shaking in the short term. There is no question though that some change has occurred over the past few years with the exit of one impediment in particular (UAB has a new FBOPs building on 6th as evidence).

If this newer edition of system BOT continues to encourage (tolerate perhaps) UAB sports growth, Dr Ray Watts becomes more and more irrelevant to the future of these programs. It may not matter how or what he thinks about them since we have real money people backing the programs now.
