Louisiana @ Idaho Game Thread - LatahCounty - 10-07-2017 11:22 AM

Game starts at 2:00 Moscow time. Spread right now is Idaho -5.5.

Idaho has remained surprisingly healthy through 4 games this year. Starting safety Denzal Brantley is out for the year, but that's pretty much it as far as I know.

I haven't seen a lot of ULL football this year, but they sure give up a lot of points. O/U for this game is 62, which seems low considering.

Go Vandals!

They score a lot of points too though. Both their backs are really good and Ragas is a load.

So you're saying bet the over? Done!

RE: Louisiana @ Idaho Game Thread - Arrowhead - 10-07-2017 05:56 PM

I’m also saying bet the over for any ULM game this year too.

LOL at Idaho

RE: Louisiana @ Idaho Game Thread - Cave_Johnson - 10-07-2017 07:13 PM

Worst game of the day? Probably. Neither team looked good at all but Idaho sure looked a lot worse.

Cajuns win !! Think this was a show me game ! We figured out who the starter is, our defense has improved and got the win, so we will see how this goes against TxSt. I think we will be more motivated and better prepared against TxSt. And we play them at home.

RE: Louisiana @ Idaho Game Thread - Bigtom12 - 10-07-2017 07:20 PM

It wasn't bad both defenses stepped up, and Idaho has a good qb, average Sunbelt game.

RE: Louisiana @ Idaho Game Thread - LatahCounty - 10-07-2017 08:51 PM

Nice win, Cajuns.

Our defense was fine. Our offense stunk, and I think that's about enough of the "Matt Linehan is an NFL Prospect" talk.

So now the Cajuns will be riding high on a 2 game winning streak headed to Jonesboro in 12 days? Great...just great. Thanks a lot Idaho!

Yeah, Home team almost always wins, but still, I'd rather a nice deflated Cajun team than one that actually knows and believes they can go to a bowl.

Think we gonna be gunning!! If we beat TxSt. Think this team will be hungry!

"If we beat Texas State"?

Confidence that low in Lafayette right now?

My first trip up there since 2004. Had forgotten what pretty country it is. And, it was great to experience some cool temperatures.

They've done quite a bit of work on the Kibbie Dome since the last time I was there. Nice crowd for homecoming, too. Gets loud in there when the fans are into it.

Thanks for coming up. At least somebody left the dome happy.

And thanks for noticing the work that's been done on the Kibbie Dome in the past decade or so. We'd actually have a perfectly adequate FBS stadium now if we blew out a wall and put a horseshoe around the west end zone. Not really all that expensive, but at this point we don't have any reason to do it.

Lmfao been following this team since the 90's ever since I was a kid. Losing to Wofford, Sam Houston State etc. during the Baldwin years, and even before. I take nothing for granted. This goes along with being a Saints fan as well.

No matter how dark and dystopian the future gets for the Cajuns, UL does not lose to Texas State in the game of football. Ever.

Death, Taxes and the Cajuns beat the Bobcats in football.

RE: Louisiana @ Idaho Game Thread - nsavandal09 - 10-08-2017 07:56 PM

A good game but a really horrid performance from Idaho. We never handle mobile qb's well for some reason and the backup just tore us up. In the end horrible play calling on offense (throwing the ball when we moved it at will on the ground), defense (nothing like seeing an 8 yard cushion on 3rd and 4) and pass protection doomed us. Watching a 4th year senior QB ignore scrambling 3 yards for the 3rd down conversion and instead throws it deep into double coverage for what would be a game winning TD. It's a terrible decision, but arguably the best throw of the day and the WR drops it in the end zone. I think that about sums up the season so far.

The reffing was absolutely terrible. It didn't seem to make a difference in the game fortunately, but when a DE gets tackled from behind, gets up, is held back by the neck of his jersey and still gets the sack it would be nice to still see a flag for holding.

This loss didn't kill our bowl hopes entirely but it's going to take a lot, and if we can score more than 1 TD against the worst scoring defense in the country at home, that doesn't bode well.
