Given that they have roughly ten times the enrollment and that the largest portion of Rice alumni are somewhat local to HRS, that's to be expected.

I watched about 1/2 the game, in between doing family things. I thought it was a good experience and appreciated the video and commentator quality. I turned off the comments and did not comment.

Yeah, I actually really enjoy the Twitter or FB viewing experience. The video is generally higher quality than I can get through CUSA tv or whatever, and the commentary is acceptable or better.

The telecast was remarkably high quality for what I'm sure is a low budget operation. Kudos to them. It was a little bit weird though to not have any commercial breaks. There was a lot of time-filler-type banter done by the sideline reporters, which normally would have been commercials. Overall though, it was well-done and I enjoyed and appreciated it, except for the final score.

I enjoyed it. Let them have some fun on the sideline like that. It didn't annoy me. But the HD quality broadcast was there, and there was nothing wrong with the PBP and color commentator. Some flubs, but honestly, I thought they were better than many of the lower tier broadcasters we tend to get on ESPN3000 or Fox Subregional.
And kudos for Sammy knowing the Macarena, something that may have been popular before Sammy might have been born. (I don't claim to know the age for the Sammy in the suit at that point in the game.)
