I doubt it... those kids would have been five years old when Miami last beat UC. The only way it would have stuck out to them would be if they were die-hards Miami fans in Kindergarten. I doubt many of those exist. Its probably safe to say the majority of 4th year seniors at Miami has no independent recollection of the last Redhawk win (they would have been nine). RE: Miami Tickets? - Lush - 07-25-2018 10:59 PM i think it's a pretty neat rivalry. it's awesome that there are actual redskin fanatics RE: Miami Tickets? - doss2 - 07-25-2018 11:01 PM Four more wins and then shut it down. RE: Miami Tickets? - Rob Tito - 07-26-2018 03:45 AM Duane Norman has informed me that he will be at this game. RE: Miami Tickets? - Dannyboy - 07-28-2018 10:17 AM I hope that damn thing isn’t flying when we play Ohio. RE: Miami Tickets? - dsquare - 07-29-2018 08:05 AM This looks like the biggest thing since Bob Diaco initiated the Civil Conflict at Uconn with UCF a number of years ago................without UCF even knowing about it. Saw a pretty incredible stat today... Since the College Football Playoff era started Miami (OH) has fewer non-conference wins than any team in FBS (that number is 2). I did some more digging and the stat is actually more incredible than that. Miami (OH) has ZERO non-conference wins over FBS competition. It's only non-conference wins are over Austin Peay and Presbyterian. RE: Miami Tickets? - OKIcat - 08-09-2018 02:29 PM (08-09-2018 01:45 PM)bearcatmark Wrote:(07-25-2018 02:40 PM)Miami (Oh) Yeah ! But it's a sad note that a Red Hawk program that has fallen this far is our closest "rival" in the new world of conference realignment and the P5/G5 divide. As others have shared, the game last year was way too close for comfort. This year's game could be a bellwhether for the impact this coaching staff is beginning to have in terms of execution and play calling. I could see another white knuckle performance. Conversely, I could see UC dominating. Had the 'Cats held on to a few more passes last year it could have been a laugher. Could have, would have, should have are operative words of course. Only rival during the Tony Mason, Mark Gottfried, Watson Brown, and Dave Currey regimes. RE: Miami Tickets? - CliftonAve - 08-12-2018 06:19 PM Technically we are no longer doing home and home with them. It is 1-1-1, and we all know regardless of who is considered the home team it is a home game for UC in terms of locations. And # of fans. The Bearcats will only be in Oxford four times in 12 years. Could say it's now 2 for 1 - Cincinnati to oxford. Need to keep winning and win comfortably. |
