As an ETSU fan, not at the game I was pissed. Plus the stream was behind the radio anyway.

Be prepared to get rtfo by the FU formation. I was going to be nice and predict a reasonable score of 46-10. Now I think it's safe to say 63-7.

Is question is, should JMU fans consider ETSU already better than established programs like Morehead St. and Rhode Island? Or how about Soft Houston or New Hampshire, two playoff teams?

Methinks not.

In 5 games last season against the above named teams (JMU played New Hampshire twice) JMU scored 326 points and gave up 82. The majority of those 82 points surrendered was against New Hampshire, who scored 61 in two contests. Folks, that's an average score of 65.2 vs. 16.4.

The scary part is JMU may actually be better on both sides of the ball this year.

Can (or should) JMU beat ETSU by 50 points? Yes. Will they? Stay tuned. The only thing stopping JMU from destroying ETSU is our HC.

The game should be competitive in the 4Q - when our 3rd stringers are facing ETSU's starters.

Dukes roll, 70-7. Houston will pull his starters after the 1st series of the 2nd half - maybe at the half - and our 2nd stringers will extend the lead in the 3Q. Our 3rd stringers will play an even 4Q while giving up a late TD that pisses off our 1st/2nd string defenders.

If ETSU kicks off first, we'll get to see if the KO return unit shows any better than last week's mediocre performance. It also might be the only time we see that unit on the field so enjoy it while you can my fellow Dukes.

Not really sure how that FG attempt makes sense, but 14 seemed too high.

I don't know about the rest of you, but just about all of my predictions for the past year have been way below the actual margin of victory. Predicting a score of 80-7 is so gauche.

If our team is special this year and we start beating teams by 40+, that's not going to keep butts in seats in a second half.

A good problem to have but still a problem to solve.

Maybe to early to tell...
