I have lost track of signees, etc. & from the outside former walk-on McCoy and the walk-on Reynolds seem weird but I guess I'll let Ehsan worry about that.

Even if he was a walkon, we have an open scholarship. Why not tell the kid, thank you for walking on. Here's one free year of school.

True. But if you may need that scholarship in year 2 your hands are tied.
It is more common I would think for it to happen to senior walkons.

Two left for 2018, unless Eshan gives the other walk on a scholarship. I guess we sign another two guard and a big to play the four spot.

Not really since scholarships are renewable year to year. Crappy thing for the player but if Ehsan needs to pull a scholarship from a former walkon, he can do it.

As long as you make sure they understand that they are only guaranteed it for 1 year.
