It sure seems like we're losing a lot of staff members/coaches to other schools. Whether that's an indication we're hiring good people who are coveted elsewhere, or an indication of other issues, I guess is the big question.

I think it's both. Good people hired but those same people concerned about where the program currently is. Jana Woodson leaving for Tulane seems to have started the exodus.

Kind of feels as if the department is imploding.

Yeah, but they seem to be taking similar jobs at P5 schools, with presumably a lot more money. Would be a lot more concerning if they were moving laterally

If they were moving down to Eastern North Dakota Normal, it would be cause for concern. But this is exactly what we have been saying we wanted for the last decade plus - hiring people who do a good job and get hired away to better jobs.

Yeah, but the outcome of that formula should be that we should be improving and narrowing the gap between us and those better jobs. Anyone feel like that has been happening over the past decade plus?

How about the last six decades plus? We have had lots of people hired away in that time, including head football coaches.
