Wouldn't say that I am expecting it, but I am still hopeful that Jeff can get a transfer that can play this season to shore up the center position. Not sure how much we can count on the 6'-10" foreign kid to provide for the team this season.

I still believe that Jeff wants Kalu to play more at the 4 position, which I believe he would be better suited for.
Dajour really needs to become more solid physically, and increase his strength if he is going to become a solid defensive center. If not then he needs to become more of the player Mark West was his first couple of seasons at ODU when he was 6'-10", 195 pounds. Like Dajour, he wasn't going to muscle up with bigger, stronger centers in the low post. What he was great at though was staying off of his man enough that he could get off his feet, and he was excellent at timing his jump to block his guy's shot. Dajour tries to body up with those types of players - with little success - and in doing so it restricts his ability to get up in the air to contest the shot as much as he is capable of doing.
As for Karaiskos, I really can't say much about him till I see how he plays, but at this point I am not expecting much of a contribution (hope I am pleasantly surprised after seeing his play).

I've been wondering that with all these players who have been training off campus in other cities, traveling for workouts and draft interviews. Do they drop all their classes to remain eligible or do they take them online?

Probably has nothing to do with Bassey (other than thats playing time lost). It's just a revolving door and those guys feel out of favor.

Banton, Ohmer and Smith and even Diagne were major contributors last year. They don’t develop players at Western. Banton transferred to the B1G Nebraska.
Don’t look for Bassey to improve his offensive game much next yearr with Stansbury and staff. Odds are he will still be a second rounder

They also brought in a couple transfers to steal playing time.
FWIW:
Daigne- 7 minutes per game
Ohmer- 11 minutes per game
Banton- 15 minutes per game
Smith- 10 minutes per game
I really wouldn't consider them major contributors outside of Banton. The total group averaged less than 9 points per game between the 4 of them.
