Liberty and UMass had two games previously announced and here is the other half of the agreement. I think both schools have a lot to gain by this series and think it would be wise to play annually as independents.

Should be a good series going four years to start. Will be interesting to see if we schedule New Mexico State. Obviously playing teams on the east coast has many advantages as travel for fans and the teams involved.
Here is a little from Mike Traini.

UMass will be hosting UConn and BYU at Gillette Stadium in 2019, and will host Maine in Amherst on a date to be determined. The Minutemen still need two more home games in 2019 to tentatively complete their schedule for that season.
UMass will travel to Liberty to close out the 2020 season, playing the Flames in the final weekend of the year. UMass now has six games tentatively scheduled for the 2020 season and five games tentatively scheduled for the 2021 season. All four contests are scheduled for November, traditionally the most difficult month for independent programs to schedule games.

Very nice news as was announce this month that BYU will be playing on campus in 2019 and not at Gillette.
2019 and 2021 slates are full.
