Rodriguez (true freshman QB) - AndreWhere - 08-02-2017 05:13 PM

Any chance we see him this season, or is a redshirt year inevitable?

Pray to God that he redshirts. If we're forced to start a true freshman QB on this team, then it's going to be an awful season.

UGA started a true freshman at QB last year even though they had veterans with experience available.

Ah yes, great comparison. I forgot about that. 5-Star super recruit Jacob Eason with Georgia's ultra talented roster around him is definitely an apple to apples comparison to our 2-Star recruit playing with a rebuilt oline.

Georgia when 7-5 last year so it obviously worked out for them.

You're right about that!

If he is the best option you play him. Why care about saving him if he ends up being the best option. If he can be your QB for the next 4 years start now.

It was absolutely the best move for UGA and Eason to play him last year. The good/bad experience he learned in games like Missouri and Tennessee last year was invaluable. Its the very reason UGA is picked to win the SEC east this year.

If the current competing two QB's don't pan out put him in and let the job be his to lose. He's a sharp kid that I guarantee will start for this team quickly before its all said and done. Talent is talent and while the team chemistry might not be there with him just yet, I have a strange feeling he's going to be a good one if he stays healthy. Might be a very good influence in opening up the South Florida pipeline for recruits as well.

Time will tell, but it seems like they were picked by default due to the decline of the other teams in the east. Both Tennessee & Florida lost a lot. South Carolina & Missouri aren't ready to contend this year and Vandy and Kentucky never win anything.

Pray to God about "anything" football?

I tried to retire as a college freshman, and my mom let me know in no uncertain terms it wasn't happening.
