Fall Camp - NIU1981 - 07-26-2017 10:16 AM
I assume fall camp starts next week. Does anyone know the exact date? You are allowed up to 29 practices before the first game, and of course two-a-days have been elimintated, so the only way to come close to that and have days off would be to start at the beginning of August.

I read that Illinois State starts Monday, July 31st.

I'm in town from California for a couple weeks. I was hoping to watch a practice with my kids. Is that allowed?

Yep, unless they change it from previous years. I'm going to try to get to a few as well.

I think they are in helmets 8/1 to start fall camp

A complete practice schedule with times will be sent out Monday. In the meantime, here are a few key dates to note:
Tuesday, August 1 – First Practice (Helmets) - 5:30 AM
Friday, August 4 – Football Photo Day – 7:15 AM
DeKalb Media Day – 11:30 AM
Practice (Shoulder Pads/Shorts) – 3:30 PM
Sunday, August 6 – First Day in Full Pads – 3:30 PM
Thursday, August 10 – Chicago Media Day – Noon
Saturday, August 19 – Practice – 3:30 PM
Football Family Fun Day
Monday, August 28 - First Day of Classes
Friday, September 1 - 2017 Season Opener versus Boston College at Huskie Stadium – 8:30 pm
