Possibly delay one of them a year. USM has done that several times I believe with the LSU game this past year getting delayed several times for about 5-6 years it seemed like.

LSU will actually have 4 Texas teams on their menu in 2020; UTSA, Texas, Rice, and their conference rival, A&M.

USM got pounded last year in LSU "but" in our previous game there in 1994 it was the start to the 18 year consecutive winning seasons streak

I was one of the estimated 40,000 people who bothered to show up for the game. That’s right: 40,000 people. Like we were Ole Miss or something. 75,453 people officially attended Alabama kicking the crap out of LSU the previous week, and nearly half of that crowd decided it would be better to catch a movie than some LSU football. By the way, this is what bad football and lack of fan support looks like.

Not sure what we're going to do. Perhaps reshuffle some of our home/road games with TxSt. Why would buying out one of these games be bad?

I love reading their forums when things start falling apart for LSU. Difficult to imagine a group of more whiny, perpetually aggrieved idiots. Think "Black Muslims" but uglier.

Elite P5 programs don't HAVE to return games because no matter what it costs, they can afford to BUY all the home games they need. Before all the changes to FBS level football are finished, even the NON-elite P5 programs will be able to do the same thing. Then we'll all always be a visitor that is probably an underdog.

The separation will then be complete.

I guess we've been fortunate with your scheduling to date. We've have home games against Okie State, Arizona, Arizona St., and Kansas St. and have a 2018 home game scheduled with Baylor. Not sure if that'll continue going forward but it's been a lot of fun having these teams play in the dome.

TXST and UTSA have alternating home/home games scheduled until 2025 (but not 2019 for some reason) - I can see us trading some home and aways during that stretch to better line up both of our schedules.

2020 - TXST has UTSA, SMU, and Ohio at Home.
2021 - TXST is at UTSA and Baylor.
2022 - TXST has UTSA and Baylor at home.

I'm willing to bet we'd be willing to trade a home game in 2020 for a home game in 2021 and then continuing with alternating that way for the rest of the schedule. It works out better for both teams.

We're also at UTSA and Arizona State in 2024 and host UTSA and Arizona State in 2025. Like the UTSA/Baylor series, I'd rather not play both away and both home in the same year.
