Kent is up 7-0 after 7 innings against Toledo. With all the rain around here today it's amazing almost three games have been played today. Rain seems to be following the Kent teams this spring.

We will be playing Ohio in the night game today if they somehow manage to get all four games in. Just lost two of three to them last weekend so it's time for some revenge.

Somehow they are playing (it's like it's a domed stadium). First game of the day is in the seventh inning.

I know. It's just kind of amazing it just keeps raining and they keep playing. Even the Indians had a 2 hour delay last night. The fields holding up awfully well or it's rained a lot less only 30 miles from where live.

The Indians just postponed their game with Cincinnati even though its the Reds only visit to Cleveland. Yet the MAC tourney keeps going. I know they don't care a much about empty seats but the field has to be getting a bit dicey.

Flashes had their chances to score, didn't. Bobcats did. 4 errors didn't help. Game started at 10.45p, ended at 2a. Let's beat UT again later today at 4.3op.

This will be tough. Have to beat Toledo on Friday, Ohio twice on Saturday and the winner of the other bracket once or twice on Sunday.

That's probably not happening. Another year where the MAC will probably send some shi**y team to the NCAA tournament.

The 3 teams playing today are a combined 37 games under .500 - When you are a 1 bid league and 90% of your league is pathetic, you really need to consider sending your regular season champion. I don't say this because we are about to lose, but when you have one team in the conference win 40 games and you send some .500 team to the NCAA tournament, you really are cutting off your nose......well you know how it goes. #SMH

Yeah I agree regular season champions (or maybe a playoff between East and West champions) should go to NCAA but it's just not the way sports fans like it. Also in some cases such as basketball they will never turn down the money and publicity a tournament generates. I'm not a big believer in sending your hottest team at the end of the year (like you can really tell whos hot and who just got lucky) but that's the way it will be. we benefitted in basketball and will probably lose in baseball.

It's so easy to just drop a game somewhere along the line. And simply winning your first 2 games is such a HUGE advantage in this format.

Don't allow yourselves for one minute to believe the MAC even remotely cares about baseball. If it did, it wouldn't have taken until the year 2017 to make sure the high seed is always the home team. What a concept.

I have no reason to disagree with you - I am sure the MAC doesn't give a **** about baseball. But I bet they sure were happy when KSU went to the CWS. And the only team that could sniff a win in the tournament and garner some attention for the conference wears blue and gold.

We really could use a EMU win over CMU today so if we beat Ohio twice today we only need one win on Sunday. Back to back doubleheader sweeps after playing three days in a row would be too much to ask from any college pitching staff.
