Now that is the game i am really looking forward to, sounds like a exhibition basketball game, or is it really the Rocket basketball getting started early this season? Instead of playing someone really good on the road, I guess the Rockets will play anyone at home, including the sisters of the poor. Take a look I believe liberty U. schedule this season.

My bad, must not be Liberty U. (other then Baylor), some other Mid major is playing 3 power 5 teams this season.

Actually if this were a basketball game, Elon could probably give a good account of themselves, but since it is football, if the Rockets don't have people talking about the need for a mercy rule, then the Rockets may be in for a long season.

Elon isn't the most enticing opponent, but like Terry hinted at, maybe it's the best we can get for a season opener. I'm always pumped for the opener no matter who we play, but what gets me this year is that it's being played on a Thursday. I'm not anticipating a sell out, and the opener should always get sold out.

There's going to be six (seven including the bye week) Saturdays without Rocket football. I don't know about you guys, but that depresses me. Saturdays aren't the same when everyone else is playing but we're not.
