CMU and WMU have always played tight games regardless of who's been the better team. A true rivalry on the diamond. Has been for quite a while. Always great to see it especially when they are the top seed. Nice work ladies.

Always nice to beat that shabby school up-north, in anything, at anytime!
The fact CMU was the #1 seed - just like women's basketball - makes it particularly enjoyable.

Down 9 - 3 in bottom of the 7th. Good thing it is double elimination.
The Chimpettes rebounded with a complete game 3 - 0 shutout to eliminate Ball St. today in game 1.

They beat Akron 7-5 today. They'll play NIU, who eliminated CMU this morning, at 6pm tonight.
