Cincinnati and UCLA will start a home-and-home series next season in Westwood, multiple sources told FanRag Sports on Wednesday.
Official dates and times are yet to be determined.
There will be a return game in Cincinnati during the 2018-19 college basketball season.
The Bruins beat the Bearcats 79-67 during March’s NCAA Tournament.
Cincinnati will return three starters —- Jacob Evans, Gary Clark, and Kyle Washington — from last season’s team that finished 30-6.
UCLA lost freshmen Lonzo Ball and TJ Leaf to the NBA as well as senior guard Bryce Alford. Aaron Holiday, Thomas Welsh, and Ike Anigbogu all entered their names in the 2017 NBA Draft, but did not retain the services of an agent, therefore leaving the possibility open of returning to school next season.

Both teams could have really benefited from playing each other during the regular season this year. Shame it had to come down to the tournament.

I mentioned in another post that a series with a West Coast school such as UCLA would be a perfect way to combat the fact that the nearby basketball powers don't want to schedule us with 1:1 home and away games. I mentioned UCLA, but I didn't imagine it could happen so quickly. This is an awesome development and allows us to build our exposure on a national level in spite of UK, OSU, L'ville, etc. Probably helps with recruiting - it can't hurt to offer a trip to Cali once a year.

Makes sense. The West Coast schools are not recruiting the same kids we are (while the B10, ACC, SEC and BE schools are). I would love to get UCLA, USC, Cal, Oregon, Arizona, Arizona State, etc. on the schedule regularly.

I suspect Bohn's prior relationship from his time working to get Colorado into the Pac12 probably helped open the door to this deal. VERY good news, this along with the football agreement is going to be very lucrative in more ways that just athletics.

Maybe, but both are also major UA schools. This is great news.

I didn't realize we had already rescheduled the game at 5/3 against UCLA. That's good news.
Dates for the UCLA basketball games have not been announced yet , only that we are there next year and they are at UC the following year . Using Dec as typical OOC games (could be any time I guess)

Oops, sorry I was distracted by work and was going between two threads. For some reason I was thinking about the cancelled 2016 Michigan game.
