...personally, I'm looking forward to next year and I think we will be a better team than we were in Tubby's first year...It's my opinion that the situation with the Lawson's, who are fine people, was driven by Keelon. And that's fine. I'm actually looking more forward to next year now than I was yesterday.
Bottom line, I think this team will be better, more motivated and surprising. I'd expect 5 more signees with all ready to compete and play.

Wonderful post and I respectfully agree 100%. I'm also looking forward to next year. There will be more team ball, stellar defense, buying in to the coach's philosophy. Joe Esposito tweeted, "better days ahead" Love it! Go Tigers!!

That's fair.
I'm willing to see the final roster AND final schedule before a prognosis.
However, he can get better players than some of these JC recruits on the grad transfer market too, but seeing as we haven't really been mentioned with any and it seems to be all JCs in the late period, my guess is that with no seniors at all, that they are planning to basically punt again next year, so to speak.
Put down the foundation, etc.
With the hope of being a possible NCAA tournament in year 3 when all the JCs are seniors.

I'm really not terribly upset about it, when the team mailed it in the last 2-3 weeks it was obvious the player/coach fit was not good. I would have liked the Lawsons to have become a part of the Tigers folklore, like Finch, Lee and Hardaway, but it was obvious that's not going to happen.
Dedric will now probably go pro somewhere, KJ become a roll player on a smaller team that will hire daddy for Chandler. ok. It's not terribly hard to reload a roster, dozens on this board have been saying so for the last couple of years. I think it will be very interesting what a team of guys who buy into what Tubby's selling will be able to do.
I also expect a couple of announcements from local kids soon.

Nah, squid, I'm good, not drinking...I posted my opinion because I think our TEAM got better today. I'd also say that I think we will see a very motivated bunch next year and that includes the staff. I think the program just flushed itself out a bit. I find it a bit refreshing. Just me though.

Agree and disagree. I can look forward to next year, but definitely think we'll be worse.
Glad the Lawson drama is over. Dedric seems like a good kid, and the family might be fine. But they seem to have a grass is greener view of the world. Even at Hamilton, the parents were looking to cash in and go to a prep school in Florida. Then it was Vanderbilt, as long as they hired Keelon. The drama last spring. Now, the transfers. It was never going to end.

Tubby will have a nearly clean slate next season and the roster presumably will be filled with his type of players. Perhaps the sum will be greater than the parts and Tubby will coach up the players to the extent allowing competitive games and a post season appearance and victories. I am not optimistic but will support him through season tickets purchase and game attendance when possible.

Obviously an opinion, but I'd bet Tubby took a deep breath today and is actually relieved. Probably views next year as his first here.
