I know we tend to be more football oriented but I thought this was interesting.
So I'm stealing this first link from TexasMark, who posted it on the CS/CR page, so H/T to him.

This looks at "the United States Department of Education recently released financial information submitted by every college athletic program in the country, including the amount of revenue generated at each school by basketball."
The other one is from Land of 10. https://www.landof10.com/big-ten/study-big-ten-makes-6-top-12-valuable-basketball-programs. They wrote an article which links to a WSJ article who did the original analysis but is paywalled.
"That number is the amount Brewer assessed... would be worth, could they be bought and sold like a professional franchise on the open market."
