Add Utah Valley's RS Freshman Jared Stutzman who will be transferring to Idaho State.

Clarke Cooper will transfer from UTRGV to New Mexico Military Institute

It is not really a transfer but when Nate Pryor decommitted from Seattle U. after Dollar's firing, there speculation he would follow Dollar to Washington. Well, according to Verbal Commits, he has now "officially" committed to Washington.

RE: WAC offseason transfer thread - SeattleVandals - 04-17-2017 04:07 PM

Jordan Madrid-Andrews will be leaving Chicago State

RE: WAC offseason transfer thread - SeattleVandals - 04-18-2017 02:30 PM

Hayford makes his first splash, landing 3 star grad transfer Richaud Gittens from Weber State. A familar opponent for Hayford.

Played in 6 games last year before getting hurt, averaged 7.3 ppg 4.3 rpg

Junior year off bench 4.3 ppg 2.1 rpg. Interesting, because year before as SOPH averaged 9.9 ppg starting every game. Freshman year averaged 6.2 ppg 2.9 rpg 2.2 apg.

Seems to have regressed his last 2 years, but still exciting. One more spot open for next year.

RE: WAC offseason transfer thread - Clarity - 04-18-2017 02:40 PM

I wish we had a spot open for a grad transfer. Barnes said there was interest with the NIT run.

RE: WAC offseason transfer thread - SeattleVandals - 04-18-2017 02:53 PM

Gittens will likely compete with Zack Moore for SG. Maybe Means or Montoya if Hayford doesnt want them both strictly at PG. They're both starter-caliber.

I really like the roster Dollar left and who we have going forward. If Hayford can develop them though or need to start over, is the question.

Projected depth chart:

C - Menzies/Uleano
PF - Uleano/Kavas/Cuze
SF - Kavas/Spurgeon/Moore
SG - Gittens/Moore/Da Campo/Shaughnessy/Cosmos
PG - Means/Montoya

Redshirt: Nettles
1 open spot

Where would you want the help? Just went through the CSUB roster by position. Looking lean everywhere except SF. Good front line players at the other positions (i.e. Wrapp, Aly, Durham), but not a lot of proven depth.

I'm lowkey hopeful that Aaron Menzies has made the strides that were promised, but we're cut short by injury last season. Could be fun to watch a guy that big work all but 2 games out of the year. I'm a sucker for good post play.

A big PF would be great. Briggs is probably going to play there next year a bit out of position. SF will be a platoon of guys most likely none are proven. I think Taze Moore can be good he's very athletic and a good defender. Person Jr the freshman also looks really good. He had a lot of interest from Fresno State. We are going to be very young for the first time ever because Barnes isn't relying on JUCOs anymore. Joiner is going to be special though. Great scoring optionr off the bench then will take over for Wrapp in 2018. His highlight tapes are insane.

Watched him put up 35 in the Legends Classic. He can take over games. But when he went down, our severe lack of depth in height and the post was exposed. Too bad we all saw that coming for two years once Jack Crook left and Dollar never offered another center

Meanwhile, Dollar and Will Conroy get 4-star local kid Jaylen Nowell to UW today. Wonder if there was a chance Dollar could have gotten him to SU if he wasnt fired. Nowell's dad was an assistant to Dollar before passing away

CSUB did offer another PG for 2018. Antonie Davis, 3 star from Houston. Also has offers from SF Austin, UTEP, UT-Martin, and UA-Little Rock

RE: WAC offseason transfer thread - Clarity - 04-18-2017 03:54 PM

Yep I did see that! Couldn't find any highlight tapes though. Interesting also because we will have 3 PGs on the roster if he comes with Holden, Joiner and him. Barnes seems to be offering a lot of PGs. Maybe he plans on moving Joiner to SG?

Glad you're here, Clarity, as you know the game a lot better than I do. I can get into that stuff with baseball all day long, but with basketball, I just really know the basics and stats only.

RE: WAC offseason transfer thread - Clarity - 04-18-2017 05:44 PM

Thanks RunnerBall I really appreciate that! Baseball I am still learning, just started watching the games very fun team to watch! All I know is they can hit the damn ball, Grotjohn is a God and Dewsnap is an awesome closer haha. Also Carter is a great pitcher but the rest of the staff seems inconsistent.

NMSU PG Jermaine Haley will be transferring.

Big loss. Was a 4 star at one point and going to UW. Young but all the potential in the world
