He COULD bust a trey but not very often, shot 29% from 3pt, shot 35% from field and 52% from free throw line..... Good guy, wont be hard to replace.

Very true. Wow, I didnt know he was that poor of a FT shooter. Tubby has now "run off" our 2 WORST FT shooters from this past season (not counting Jake's 1-for-3).

Snow, there are a ton of players out there we can get that are better than Craig. This is actually good.

Hasn't shown the ability to get them so far. What makes you think he will now?

Meanwhile in the real world, I am watching another player Iverson at Rhode Island who boy wonder ran off having a nice game, think where we would be with that guy helping out this year.

I come here to laugh at people who NOW try to act like Opie didn't ruin the program or run off good players.

Tubby may or may not be able to get the job done. I am willing to give him a year or so to find out.
But I can not in good conscious blame him for players that Pastner recruited leaving when Pastner couldn't keep his own recruits.

This is great news. If Craig was Doom, or Burks, or Mingo Johnson, or CDR, or Antonio Anderson, or Vincent Askew this would be terrible news. But Craig isn't anything like those guys, so now we have the opportunity to fill the spot with a player who can stick the ball in the hole. I wish him well and hope he does great and is very successful in his life. This is good for us.

It will be good only if they fill the scholarship. As of rightnow I would have to say we will see Randell in 2 years with some team playing in the tourney while we are all talking about missing the post season 5 straight seasons.

What tourney caliber team wants Randall? He going to go the route of Damien Wilson

Avery Woodson wasn't exactly an All-American at Memphis. He'll be coming back to Memphis next week to play UNC.

As long as they can bust a trey, hit free throws, and play some defense, does it really matter where they come from?

Once of twice...maybe. But for the amount of times it happened, over the large time span then the man in charge is responsible.

Randall may not have been great, but he was usually the first or second player off the bench. Maybe Tubby has recruited past him (in my dreams).

Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.

IMO--you have to finish collegiate career as a TIGER to be-- once a TIGER always a TIGER. Transferring to any enemy camp don't cut it IMO.

Just like Kuran Iverson.

WHO ?

TT again with a dumb azz post. Tubby has proven over last SIX YEARS he is not going to recruit any impact players. We will get another unranked, Manhattan recruited or Keon/Randall/Chad type player who are not high D1 players. Randall has shown he can hit 3s. Role player off the bench who has a year under Tubbys system.

you would usher. And agreeing with Penny Lane speaks volumes. If you two idiots think losing Craig is a big deal it further explains things with y'all. Craig averaged 5 points a game and almost never hit a three when we needed him to make.

With you two though you want to spin it like losing Craig is terrible because you want to make Tubby look bad.

Meanwhile in the real world, I am watching another player Iverson at Rhode Island who boy wonder ran off having a nice game, think where we would be with that guy helping out this year.

He got his panties in a wad because he was punished for violating team rules and left. Am sure he either cleaned up his act at RI or he would have been suspended there also. He was at least two years older and with it come maturity. Nichols didn't clean up his act and where is he now????

He was looking at a logjam at his position and playing time was a factor.

BTW he is only averaging 5 points a game more than he did here and was most likely NOT going to beat out Dedric for playing time.

Outside of rebounding his stats the last two years per minute played were not as good as when he was here.
