That's like me saying "Syracuse = Greenville (SC) area in football." I wish it was true, but it just isn't. ok i'm still waiting for you to list all the great players out of NYC over the years. why don't UNC and Duke have NYC players on their roster. you don't respond to my arguments. i've never said nobody has heard of NYC. why say something so silly? i never said Gboro is a 'huge' city but is in the largest city in a large MSA. i haven't been focused on Gboro in my comments, I've been disagreeing that playing games in NYC helps ACC schools recruit vs playing games in the south. if playing games in NYC is a bfd for recruits, how is a school in the south going to land them over colleges closer to NYC. that makes no sense. [/quote] I told you that you win. NYC has produced zero quality recruits, ever. NC is the only state to produce any quality recruits. The heat map of NBA talent is a lie orchestrated by Jimmy B and the SR admin staff at various northeastern schools. It's all a random far-reaching conspiracy to screw the Carolinas out of their rightful place on the college basketball Heiarchy. And your comment about Greensboro being in a big MCA didn't mean that they were in a big MCA. Point taken. You win. I saw a report that about half the crowd at the first game last night didn't stay for the FSU-ND game and that most of the media didn't bother to go to the post game news conference. Boeheim being Boeheim.....then gets owned by Greensboro - dawgitall - 03-11-2017 05:24 PM I have the solution. Let's rotate the tournament between Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and the Bahamas. No team has a location advantage but all the players and fans get to go to a great destination! Recruits would love it. AAA could offer some great travel packages and we could all enjoy the warm weather, fruity drinks and wonderful entertainment. We wouldn't even need to attend the games, just watch big screens from the pool bars! You had me at pool RE: Boeheim being Boeheim.....then gets owned by Greensboro - ClemVegas - 03-11-2017 06:08 PM you are the first person that i've seen in my life claim there isn't much enthusiasm for college bball in NC, and somehow NYC has more enthusiasm for college ball even though there isn't any good college bball in the metro. you must live under a rock. Again, why aren't there any good basketball programs in the NY area if it is such hotbed for recruiting? This observation nukes your assertion. WHy are UNC and DUke rosters full of people from the south, and no NYC players? You don't ever respond to these points. if we go by their rosters, it makes sense for ACC to have tourney in the south if tournament location is good for recruiting. RE: Boeheim being Boeheim.....then gets owned by Greensboro - ClemVegas - 03-11-2017 06:40 PM ok, i'm still waiting for you to list all the NYC players that have won college titles or explain why teams like DUke and UNC don't have NYC players on their rosters. in other words, actually back up something you say. |
